Tasting Lunch A Big Success

31 January 2012

Sandon Hall's Tasting Lunch on Saturday 28 January was a great success.

Tasting Lunch A Big Success

25 couples, all of whom have booked their weddings at Sandon for this year, and 84 guests in total attended and were greeted with drinks and canapes in the Conservatory before moving into the Saloon for lunch. James Gillespie of Touchstone Wines gave a brief talk on choosing the right wine for a wedding. Lunch was then served, with guests able to sample a range of dishes such as Roast Lamb Rump with a Port and Redcurrant Sauce and Vegetable Wellington with a Piquante Tomato Sauce, as well as Passionfruit Creme Brulee and Praline Souffle in Dark Chocolate Cups.

Finesse Piano and Cello Duo entertained everybody during the event, while Petals and Cakes provided sample wedding cake for people to try. Flowers on the tables were provided by Alison O'Mara Floral Design and Sarah Hill photographed the event.

A further Tasting Lunch is planned for April, with invitations open to couples who have yet to decide on a venue and wish to sample a dining experience at Sandon Hall. Details to follow.
