Running Orders for the Wedding Day

Trying to plan the schedule for your wedding day can be confusing, particularly if you are doing it for the first time! Here are a couple of examples, each of which shows a wedding starting at a different time.

Wedding ceremony and reception for 80 guests, 1pm-12am

Wedding reception for 50 guests, 4pm-1am

01:00pm Groom, best man and ushers arrive for photos and for groom and best man to meet with registrars in ceremony room and guests arrive
01:15pm Guests begin to take seats in ceremony room
01:20pm Bride arrives and meets registrars
01:25pm Bridal party moves through to take up position outside ceremony room
01:30pm Bride enters ceremony room and ceremony commences
02:00pm The bride and groom, along with their guests, leave the ceremony room and go out into the conservatory and gardens for drinks and photographs
03:30pm Guests make their way into the saloon for the wedding breakfast
03:50pm Bride and groom make a grand entrance down the saloon staircase into the wedding breakfast
04:00pm Wedding breakfast commences
04:45pm Speeches commence
05:30pm Best man requests that guests make their way into the conservatory and gardens while the saloon is prepared for the evening party
06:00pm Evening guests arrive
06:15pm Day and evening guests can make their way back into the saloon for the evening party
06:45pm DJ announces the cutting of the cake and first dance
07:00pm Evening party commences
08:30pm DJ announces that the buffet is open in the library
11:10pm DJ announces last order at the bar
11:30pm Bar closes
11:55pm Music ends
12:00am The bride and groom, along with their guests, depart
04:00pm The bride and groom, along with their guests, arrive at the hall for drinks and photographs in the gardens
05:15pm Guests gather in the saloon
05:30pm The bride and groom make a grand entrance down the saloon staircase and take up position alongside parents in the entrance to the old dining room
05:35pm The bride and groom, plus parents, greet guests, who make their way into the old dining room for the wedding breakfast
05:50pm The bride and groom are announced into the old dining room and take their seats
06:00pm Speeches commence
06:30pm Wedding breakfast commencesWedding cake cut(Tables are set up in the saloon for the evening party)
08:00pm Day guests make their way into the conservatoryEvening Guests Arrive
08:30pm Guests make their way into the saloon
08:45pm DJ announces first dance
09:00pm Evening party commences

Couples and their guests can arrive for their wedding any time from 1pm and depart at either 12am or 1am (times pre-arranged). Within those times, couples can arrange the times of their wedding breakfast etc as they wish and the above timings are only intended as guides based upon those that generally work best.
